Reconstruction of the P32 regional state highway Augšlīgatne – Skrīveri, in the section from the Madliena Parish to the P80 regional state highway, in the scope of which a new traffic rotation circle was been constructed, and the street lighting was installed in the Madliena Parish, as well as the bridges over the Ogre River and the Lobe River were restored.
Cold processing (recycling) works of the existing covering, construction works of the structural covering layers and laying of asphalt concrete covering, as well as horizontal marking of covering and road equipment installation works were performed to the highway during the project implementation.
Soil of weak bearing capacity – a layer of peat in the depth of 10 meters was detected during the course of construction works in the section km 49.50 – 50.00. The developer JSC Ceļuprojekts recommended the potential solutions for the stabilization of soil, and construction methods of the combined concrete columns and pile columns was for the first time used in the state road network. It provided for construction of 30 cm wide and up to 6 m long concrete columns, over that – 60 cm wide and up to 2 m long gravel/chips columns. 952 columns were constructed for the stabilization of soil in the aforementioned section, placed in a 2.5 x 2.0 grid. For the performance of these works, JSC A.C.B. attracted a team of specialists from the Polish company Menard Polska sp. z.o.o.
Bearing capacity and sustainability of the structures of the regional highway and adjacent structures has been increased as the result of the reconstruction, a water drainage system and public transportation stops adjusted, safety of the pedestrian and public traffic improved, especially in the administrative centre of the Madliena Parish, Ogre Municipality.
Length of the section Augšlīgatne - Skrīveri of the P32 highway reconstructed in the scope of the project is 13.09 km.
Construction of the asphalt covering top layer of the highway carriageway of 94.39 thousand m2, construction of carriageway chips base of 146.54 thousand m2, construction of the frost-resistant layer of 107.58 m3.
Cold processing (recycling) of the existing asphalt concrete covering of 27.27 thousand m3.
Strengthening of the soil base with the combined concrete and soil/chips column method: 952 pcs.
Construction of concrete troughs and curbs, construction of granite curbs and paving stone, replacement of culverts, metal security barriers and traffic organization equipment, application of horizontal marking.
Greening of slopes and territories in the area of more than 152 thousand m2.
Construction of 0.4kV lighting network, installation of lighting supports and lighting objects in the Madliena Parish.
Creation of low-voltage cable line (50-150 mm2) and 20kV cable line.
Bridge over the Ogre River and the bridge over the Lobe River: strengthening of span and end support structures, replacement of waterproofing, expansion joint and asphalt concrete covering of carriageway, restoration of the water drainage system, new security barriers installed.
