A reconstruction of the P20 state regional highway in the section from Cesis to Vidzeme Highway was carried out in the length of more than 10 km, in the scope of which a new rotation circle was constructed and the traffic overpasses over the railway and the A2 main state highway restored.
Cold processing (recycling) works of the existing covering, construction works of the structural covering layers and laying of asphalt concrete covering, as well as marking of covering and road equipment installation works were performed to the regional highway during the project implementation.
Bearing capacity and sustainability of the structures of the regional highway and adjacent structures has been increased as the result of the reconstruction, ensuring more convenient and safer traffic movement, confirmed by the increasing intensity of traffic.
Length of the P20 highway reconstructed in the scope of the project is 10.86 km.
Construction of the asphalt covering top layer of the highway carriageway of 98.78 thousand m2, construction of carriageway chips base of 24.48 thousand m2.
Cold processing (recycling) of the existing asphalt concrete covering and unrelated material of 1,103.58 thousand m2.
Construction of concrete troughs, replacement of the culverts, metal security barriers and traffic organization equipment, application of horizontal marking.
Greening of slopes and territories in the area of more than 110 thousand m2.
The traffic overpass over the Vidzeme Highway (A2 highway) and the traffic overpass over the railway: strengthening of span and end support structures, replacement of waterproofing, expansion joint and asphalt concrete covering of carriageway, restoration of the water drainage system, new security barriers installed.
Construction of the structural reinforcement: 60t; concrete works: 2278 thousand m3; creation of the glued waterproofing: in the volume of 933 thousand m2.
Processing of structure surfaces with sand and high-pressure water jets in the area of more than 5.7 thousand m2.
