Quarry management
Each year, the companies of the A.C.B. Group acquire and process more than 345 thousand cubic meters of sand/gravel materials. The work of the quarries is mostly ensured by the Salenieki sand – gravel quarry and the Egļukalni sand – gravel quarry.
The following products are produced in the quarries of the A.C.B. Group companies:
Washed sand (0-2 mm)
Washed pebbles (2-8 mm and 8-16 mm)
Fragmented washed sand (0-4 mm)
Chippings (0-5 mm)
Chips (5-8 mm, 8-11 mm, 11-16 mm un 16-32 mm)
Chip mixtures (0-16 mm, 0-32 mm, 0-45 mm, 0-56 mm)
Fragmented gravel mixtures
Naturally sifted gravel (0-16 mm)
Sifted plant earth
The Salenieki sand-gravel quarry is located at Serene Parish, Jaunjelgava Municipality, 85 km away from Riga. The products manufactured by the quarry conform to the requirements of the standards of Latvia (LVS EN 12620+A1:2008; LVS EN 13043:2002/AC:2004 and LVS EN 13242:2002+A1:2007). The Salenieki quarry – plant has received a manufacturing process control certificate issued by AS Inspecta Latvia No. 1325-CPR-1454.
The Egļukalni sand-gravel quarry is located in Laucienes Parish, Talsi Municipality, 97 km away from Riga. The products manufactured by the quarry conform to the requirements of the standards of Latvia (LVS EN 12620+A1:2008; LVS EN 13043:2002/AC:2004 and LVS EN 13242:2002+A1:2007). The Egļukalni quarry – plant has received a manufacturing process control certificate issued by AS Inspecta Latvia No. 1325-CPR-3454.
LTD Ceļi un tilti owns the quarries in the Latgale region – the Kozeļniki sand quarry in Luznava Parish, Rezekne Municipality, and the Naumki II sand-gravel quarry in Zalesja Parish, Zilupe Municipality.
